Hosted by radio personality Liz Black, with special performances by music legend Gloria Gaynor and Ronald K. Brown’s Evidence Dance Company, the concert will feature Haitian DJ Hard Hittin’ Harry and The Earthman Experience, Barbara King, Mecca, Curtis Haywood, C3YC, Boots, Thurston Daniel, Yaz Band, Wisdom, Wanda Nash, Dickson Guillaume and Haitian Mass and more. Coming together as the “Friends of Haiti,” these artists will present an eclectic mix of inspirational, jazz, R&B, hip-hop, rap and Haitian music, spoken word and dance along with special vignettes spotlighting Haitian culture and history.

Produced by Psalmist Productions Inc. (PPI), confirmed special guests include the Mayor of Petit Goave, Mr. Marc Roland Justal and representatives from the Petit Goave community working with C2C to implement the C2C-Haiti Restoration and Transformation Project. Proceeds will go towards the project which will be piloted in Petit Goave, one of the epicenters of the earthquake, 42 miles outside of Port-au-Prince, with the goal of replicating it throughout the country.

“We are building self-sufficient communities by working with the community,” stated C2C Founder and CEO, Marie-Yolaine Eusebe.  “Our philosophy is based on the proverb, ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he will eat for a life time.’  We are working with the community hand in hand, supporting them until they can support themselves.  We invite the world community to join us - Come inspired, leave an inspiration!”

The project has four specific objectives:

  • Repair the reservoir damaged by the earthquake to convert to a water treatment center
  • Rebuild the school to provide quality education to over 400 children
  • Restore the main road for businesses, market and trading
  • Reforest mountainside for sustainable agriculture and farming and creating green jobs
